When we dreamed up our Model Mother-Daughter Search
last year our goal was simply to celebrate the special bond
moms have with their girls. The idea clearly struck a chord
with Family Circle readers—this year more than 3,000 of
you from across the country (nearly three times as many
as last year!) entered the competition. Of course, that made our job of choosing just
six inspiring pairs that much harder, but it was worth it. Our finalists and grand prize
winners are as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside, and our editors had a ball
hanging out with all of them at our photo shoot. In between shots one set of finalists
excitedly recounted walking around Times Square and seeing the Jonas Brothers
through the glass walls of the MTV studio and another danced when they thought no
one was watching. Finalist daughter Emrie Foster, 35, brought along her 5-year-old girl,
adding a third generation to the mix. Check out their photos and personal stories
